CATERPILLAR OSMETERIUM

This is a short, slow-motion video of a Tiger Swallowtail caterpillar sticking out its osmeterium.  An osmeterium is a forked gland that caterpillars use when they feel threatened.  Although it's usually described as giving off a horrible smell that drives predators away, I've never smelled it unless it touches my skin.  Then that spot on your skin smells really, really nasty.
