I made the mistake of checking on a mockingbird nest in our backyard.  Now I'm a "marked man".  The mockingbirds think I'm a threat to their babies and attack me anywhere in the yard, even if I'm not close to the nest.  I'm ready for the babies to grow up and fly away.  At least it's getting me out of doing yard work.
