PHLOX SAFARI
Each spring a large section of phlox blooms in our backyard, and a number of creatures are drawn to it. One of these creatures is a Nessus Sphinx moth, an insect referred to as a "hummingbird moth" because it's often confused for a very small hummingbird. (Note: a similar type of moth is known as a Hummingbird Clearwing Moth. There's a photo of one of these on Pictures of the Week Page 1, and a photo of them mating in Photo Gallery 7)
