THE FROG THAT SOUNDS LIKE A SHEEP

These are Eastern Narrow-Mouthed Frogs, sometimes incorrectly called toads. They're pretty small, but they make a big noise. On nights after or during a rain, my backyard sounds like there's a herd of sheep in it. I laugh every time I hear them.  There's also a time lapse video on this site of their tadpoles growing, and soon I'll be posting a video of these frogs in amplexus, their mating ritual.  You can also find a few photos of them on this site.
