BROWN THRASHER SAND BATH CRAZY FACE

Brown Thrashers are often described as "secretive" birds.  I usually see them foraging in brush, rarely out in the open.  But last weekend I saw them repeatedly going to an area of sand I have in my yard to take "sand baths."  These were usually very fast, but when I got one on video it lasted several minutes because the Brown Thrasher spent a long time lying on each side.  It's worth watching this video just to see the crazy faces toward the end.
